5th Grade Choral Festival
5th Grade Choral Festival 2022!
Every year, 5th graders from across the Center Grove district are given the opportunity to take part in the Choral Festival. These students learn seven songs in less than two months and perform these songs with over 200 other 5th graders from all of the other elementary schools in the district in an evening concert. This is a great opportunity for our students to create amazing, vocal music with some of their future middle school peers and for some of them, their future choir directors.
This year, the festival will be held on Tuesday, February 15th. Students will stay after school that day, eat a snack, change into their festival t-shirt, and travel by bus to Middle School North. Once there, they will rehearse, eat a pizza dinner, and put on a concert at 7:30 that night. The performance is free and open to the public. Parents are responsible for taking students home following the concert.
In addition to working on the pieces independently and in class, there will be four additional rehearsals for all 5th Grade Choral Festival Participants on the following Fridays: January 21st and 28th, February 4th and 11th at 8:00 am in the music room.
